Hacienda del Sol

Located near the beach, Hacienda del Sol is a newly built, gated community of low rise (3 floor) apartment blocks, tastefully constructed in Moorish style. Each area of the community is set amidst beautiful landscaped gardens including lawns and mature palm trees. Each area has its own superbly-designed shared pool area. There are also two “paddle tennis” courts, and a gym and sauna.  The complex is well-managed and maintained, including daily and weekly cleaning regimes, and 24x7 security.

The Beach

The large sandy beach is just 200 metres away from the complex (about 3 minutes walk), accessed via a landscaped path. The beach has the prized international Blue Flag status, meaning that it has high water quality, a high standard of cleanliness, and services including showers. The beach also includes two beach bars/restaurants, offering a lovely view along the coastline, including Gibraltar and also north Africa. Adjacent to the beach is a nature reserve and small children’s playground.

There are two paddle-tennis courts (played on a reduced-size and walled court favoured by the Spanish), and a well-equipped gym and sauna.

The Pool Area

Each pool is a stunning design, with 1.3m and 2m zones. There are plenty of sun-loungers.

There are poolside showers, as well as indoor showers and toilets.  There is a lifeguard at the poolside from 15 June until 15 September.

Paddle-tennis courts

Adjacent to each pool is a fenced and gated children’s pool, 0.35m deep, perfect for toddlers and young children.
